The volcano is Mauna Loa on the island of Hawaii in the State of Hawaii in the United States. It is the largest volcano on Earth (not the highest, that's Ojos del Salado in Chile with 6887 m, also located on the same island volcano Mauna Kea is just slightly higher). Mauna Loa rises about 4170 m above sea level, and has a total height of about 9 km in relation to the seabed.
The volcano has been so great that they deformed the crust. This phenomenon is called isostasy and occurs in almost all the mountains for. The volcano press the crust about eight kilometers. The volcano covered 85% of the island of Hawaii. The name "Mauna Loa" means "long mountain".
